The analysis of the life cycle of the product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a method created to help measure, interpret and evaluate the environmental impacts of a specific product or service during the entire span of his life.

The assessment includes the entire life cycle of the process or activity, including:

  • the extraction and processing of raw materials,
  • the manufacture,
  • transport,
  • the distribution,
  • use, reuse, recycling
  • final disposal.

The normative reference for the implementation of international LCA is represented by ISO 14040 series.

The LCA methodology allows you to locate and highlight the opportunities for reducing environmental impacts related to product life, to organize actions to reduce and guide management decisions, as well is a valuable communication tool to the market.
